Liverpool stunned at Anfield: Concede FOUR as PSV cruise with Til’s go-ahead strike and a Druiwisch double

Liverpool hosted PSV on Matchday 5 of the Champions League league phase, hoping to stop their recent slide under Arne Slot. After back-to-back league defeats — including a shock loss to Nottingham Forest at Anfield — the Reds looked to this game as a reset. Wataru Endo started on the bench.
PSV entered the match with five points from their first four UCL fixtures and, with tough games against Atlético, Newcastle, and Bayern ahead, badly needed a win.
The visitors struck early. In the 5th minute, Virgil van Dijk was penalized for handball off a corner, and Ivan Perišić calmly converted the spot-kick. Liverpool answered in the 16th minute when Cody Gakpo’s run and shot forced a save, leaving Dominik Szoboszlai to slot home the rebound.
PSV regained control after the break. In the 56th minute, Mauro Júnior’s low early cross was smashed into the top corner by Guus Til. The lead grew in the 73rd minute when Ibrahima Konaté misjudged a bounce, allowing Ricardo Pepi to break forward; his shot hit the post, but Koheipe Druiwisch followed in to make it 3–1.
Deep into stoppage time, Druiwisch finished a counterattack for his second of the night, sealing a 4–1 away win. Endo remained unused on the bench.
Liverpool visit Inter on December 9, while PSV host Atlético the same day.
