[Arsenal] Crown jewel Bukayo Saka commits until 2031 — “Gunner for life”

Top-of-the-table Arsenal have landed the best possible bit of news.

Club talisman and England star Bukayo Saka (24) has agreed a new long-term contract running until summer 2031, according to BBC and transfer oracle David Ornstein.

Contract details: a monster extension through 2031

Agreeing a renewal with 18 months still left on his current deal sends a clear message: Arsenal are locking in their “golden era.”

  • Length: New contract until June 2031
  • Wages: Expected to put Saka among the club’s top earners, alongside captain Martin Ødegaard
  • Symbolic role: Has worn the armband in Ødegaard’s absence this season, growing into a leader on and off the pitch
  • 2025/26 output: 7 goals, 6 assists in 27 appearances — numbers don’t even tell the full story of his influence

Arsenal: core locked down for the long haul

Sporting director Edu and manager Mikel Arteta have been systematically renewing key players since late last year. With Saka now secured, the club’s spine looks set to spend its prime years in north London.

Getting Saka’s extension in this deflated mood is honestly massive.

BUKAYO LET’S GO.

Saka extension confirmed, you love to see it.

Thanks, Saka. Seeing core players renew as standard still feels unreal.

Main guys renewing without drama — different era now. Credit to Arteta.

Article didn’t say the wages. Is he going Premier League top-tier money?

He’s not beating Haaland, calm down.

Happy about the extension, but in the league it’s still only 4G 4A so far.
For an ace, he needs numbers like pre-hamstring days. Yesterday he got pocketed by Kerkez, who walked off with MOTM and a family celebration.
Your direct opponent winning MOTM isn’t great for an “ace.”

2031 is beautiful. Just beautiful.

Please don’t let this be one of those “pay rise = form drop” stories.

Saka’s shooting always feels a bit wild to me.
Only Rice / Trossard / Eze really look clean finishers. Others miss the frame.

He’s probably on around ¥3bn/year max, right?
He’s currently like 6th in the squad at about ¥2bn.
Above him: Gyökeres ¥2.1bn, Rice & Ødegaard ¥2.5bn, Jesus ¥2.76bn, top is Havertz ~¥2.9bn.
¥3bn makes him top, but Arsenal won’t go insane for one player.
Still, way too many top-five earners not earning it — especially the CFs. Do your jobs.

For reference, around 10th–6th:
White ¥1.56bn, Eberechi Eze & Martinelli ¥1.87bn, Saliba ¥1.98bn, Saka ¥2.03bn.
Seeing Timber, Calafiori, Magalhães, Zubimendi, Trossard all on less than White while grinding every week actually makes me emotional.

Did we really give Eze that much? Didn’t expect it that high coming from Palace.
