Man City Edge Fulham 5–4 in Wild Shootout as Haaland Becomes Fastest Player to Reach 100 Premier League Goals

Manchester City

December 2, 2025 (Tuesday)

Matchday 14 of the Premier League delivered absolute chaos at Craven Cottage, as Manchester City edged Fulham 5–4 in one of the wildest games of the season.

City came into the match sitting second with 25 points from 13 games. After dropping back-to-back losses early in the campaign, Pep Guardiola’s side had rebuilt momentum—but league-leading Arsenal were already five points ahead. A slip-up was not an option.

🔥 First Half — Haaland Enters the History Books

City struck first in the 17th minute.
A slick move down the left saw Nico O’Reilly find Phil Foden at the corner of the box. Foden sprayed the ball wide to Jérémy Doku, who drove in a low cross. Tijjani Reijnders cleverly dummied it, and Erling Haaland smashed home his 100th Premier League goal—reaching the milestone in just 111 matches, the fastest in league history.

City doubled their lead in the 37th minute.
Starting from a throw-in, they recycled possession back to Rúben Dias, who punched a vertical pass into Haaland’s feet. Haaland turned sharply and slipped Reijnders through on goal. The Dutchman kept his composure and made it 2–0.

Moments later, in the 44th minute, Fulham failed to clear a corner.
Leno’s punch only fell to Foden on the edge of the area, and the English midfielder fired a left-footed rocket into the net to put City 3–0 up.

⚪ Fulham Fight Back — and Things Get Chaotic

Fulham gave themselves life in first-half stoppage time when Emile Smith Rowe pulled one back.

But City restored their three-goal cushion almost instantly after the break.
In the 48th minute, a rapid counter saw Doku surge down the left. Haaland mishandled the final ball, but Foden arrived at full pace, burying his second of the night to make it 4–1.

City then grabbed a fifth in the 54th minute via an unlucky Fulham own goal.

At 5–1, the match looked dead…
But Fulham had other plans.

🔥🔥 Fulham’s Near-Miracle Comeback

In the 57th minute, Alex Iwobi struck to make it 5–2.
The home crowd suddenly woke up.

Then came super-sub Samuel Chukwueze, who turned the match into pure chaos.

  • 72’ – Chukwueze scores: 5–3
  • 78’ – Chukwueze again: 5–4

Fulham had City pinned deep and chasing shadows, but Guardiola’s side just managed to hang on.

SkylineTalon
Haaland is just absurd sometimes. The guy treats impossible chances like tap-ins.

HarborGhost
Haaland strikes again — man barely needs an invitation.

Rustline88
Wild how he buries the hard ones but whiffs the easy stuff. Absolute chaos player.

NorthPierRaven
City’s passing rhythm today is so smooth. Everything’s one-touch and flowing.

IronboundNomad
That one’s going straight into his personal highlight reel.

SilverDuneBreaker
Every time City start a match like this, they look like title favorites… then the second half happens and reality kicks in.

VortexShoreline
Foden is playing out of his mind. This could turn into a goal-fest.

HollowStriker12
Reijnders just delivered a filthy pass — pure elegance.

TempestHarbor
Finally! Reijnders gets his moment, been waiting for that.

CobaltAtlas
Judging by that celebration, he knew he needed that goal badly.

HarborWarden
You can tell Reijnders really needed that goal — the way he reacted said everything.

SteelMoorWalker
Reijnders again proving why he’s such a joy to watch. His touch and timing are on another level.

FoglineDrift
Fulham must be sick of facing this guy. He always seems to cook against them.

CrimsonVoyager
Foden is unreal today. Everything he touches turns into danger.

SableRidgeEcho
Another long-range rocket from Foden — this man is in ridiculous form.

MaritimeShift
Foden’s been electric lately. Every match he looks sharper.

GraniteFieldHawk
Honestly, I could stop watching at halftime and still feel satisfied. What a show.

IroncrestLane
Foden hitting top gear right at the brutal winter run is a gift from the football gods.

SlateHarborFox
And just like that — we concede. Figures.

WandererFrost
Fair play, that strike from Smith Rowe was pure quality.

CinderBayNomad
There goes the clean sheet… again.

StonewindPath
Foden again! He’s practically carrying a flamethrower out there.

HarrowCoastPilot
Another one from Foden — this match is getting ridiculous.

NightwellSignal
How on earth did he finish that too? He’s hitting everything today.

ColdlineStrider
Not sure if Haaland miscontrolled that or intentionally set it up… either way, great goal.

SundownVector
Doku joins the party — this match is turning into pure entertainment.

HarborLattice
Of course Doku scores next. Goals are flying in like it’s a training drill.

IronveilRunner
Pretty sure that one goes down as an own goal.

FogshorePilot
The deflection on that was hilariously perfect. Keeper had zero chance.

RidgewayCipher
Reijnders is just so clean positionally. His off-ball movement is borderline genius.

BluepeakShifter
And… we concede again. This game refuses to calm down.

CrestborneMoth
This has officially crossed into “dumb fun” territory. Both teams firing nonstop.

StrayHarborWolf
Can’t believe there’s still half an hour left. Absolute mayhem.

FrostlineAnchor
Fulham actually have some really nice players — wild that their league position is so low.

GullshadeMiner
To be fair, even Donnarumma wouldn’t have seen that one. No keeper alive reacts to that.

PearlwindFable
Stones playing anchor? Bold choice.

IronReefWalker
Good call subbing off Nico González — he was fading.

SaltmistNomad
Yikes…

TalonRidgeGhost
What even is this match? Comedy and chaos rolled into one.

MidvaleCurrent
We’re conceding way too easily. It’s getting ridiculous.

HarborDriftline
Foden again! This guy is on an absolute tear.

SkyforgeComet
Another one from Foden — he’s basically speed-running a hat-trick today.

RustvaleRanger
How did he manage to finish that too? He’s in cheat-code mode.

IroncrestNomad
Not sure if Haaland miscontrolled it or saw it coming… either way, the end result was class.

FrostmireSentinel
Doku gets his moment! This match has everything.

CinderwayFalcon
Now it’s Doku’s turn. The goals just keep coming.

BrooklineDusk
Yeah, that’s definitely going down as an own goal.

StonegaleHarrier
The deflection on that was so absurdly clean I couldn’t help laughing.

SableHorizonTrail
Reijnders is ridiculously smart. His positioning off the ball is elite-level stuff.

HarborQuartzWing
Reijnders’ game intelligence is unreal. The way he finds pockets of space is next-level.

MoonridgeTalon
And yep… we concede again. This match has zero chill.

IronvalleyGale
This has gone full chaos-ball. Pure madness on both ends.

CrestfallVoyager
Hard to believe there’s still so much time left. Feels like we’ve watched two matches already.

NightshoreSignal
Fulham actually have solid talent — wild that they’re stuck so low in the table.

FrostgateMariner
Yeah, that one’s impossible for any keeper. Even Donnarumma wouldn’t react in time.

HollowRidgePulse
Stones at anchor? That’s… a bold experiment.

CopperveilNomad
Honestly, subbing off Nico González was the right call. He was fading.

GhostlineHarbor
Yikes…

SableRustPilot
What is this match even? Comedy, chaos, and football all at once.

ShorelineApex
We’re leaking goals way too easily. This is getting painful.

IronpeakMorrow
And here we go again — another one conceded.

HighvaleSketch
This is a full-blown shootout now. No one’s defending anymore.

ThorncrestFalcon
Man, Stones comes on and suddenly everything collapses. Brutal.

HarborSlateFang
Donnarumma isn’t making the saves people expect. Wild that Ortega can’t even make the bench while this is happening.

 ↳ CinderPeakRunner
Most of the goals today were unstoppable anyway. Hard to blame him for those.

RustvaleAnchor
Man, this match is hilarious at this point.

NightflowHarrier
Honestly, this is way more entertaining than it has any right to be.

FrostlineVoyager
Fulham suddenly look unstoppable the second Stones steps on the pitch. Brutal swing.

IroncrestRaven
This match has gone full stupid — in the best possible way.

ShoreboundCipher
Donnarumma’s high-ball handling is rough today. He’s partly at fault for some of this chaos.

MoonshadeTrekker
Can’t believe a game that started so well turned into this level of stress. Unreal.

EmberHarborWolf
That was way too close for comfort.

GalestrikeNomad
Haaland’s done his part — time to rotate him out and let Malmush get a run.

HarborMistViper
We’re getting carved open way too easily. If they equalize from here, I might actually lose it.

StonebayTalon
Donnarumma isn’t even close to making the big saves today. Wild considering Ortega can’t even sniff the bench.

 ↳ FrostglenRider
Honestly, most of the goals he conceded were impossible to stop. Not really on him.

CragshoreWhisper
Man… what a ridiculous match. This is pure chaos football.

SilverHollowTrace
Fulham are genuinely impressive right now. Stones comes on and suddenly the whole team unravels.

NightfallMariner
This has turned into a full-on clown fiesta. Can’t look away though.

IroncrestVale
Donnarumma’s high-ball work is rough. Has to take some responsibility for this madness.

CobaltHavenStrider
Thought I was watching a great match at first — now I’m just stressed out of my mind.

ThornpeakDrifter
That was terrifying. My heart can’t take this match.

HarborGaleStray
Can’t believe a match that started so well turned into this much frustration. Absolutely unreal.

FrostlineVoyant
That was way too close… my nerves are shot.

IroncrestMorrow
Haaland’s done enough today — time to give Malmush some minutes already.

ShadewindRook
Somehow we scraped the win. Looked like an easy night at first.

CinderPeakTalon
Another chaotic City match. Feels like every game turns into this lately.

RidgewayFlux
With defending this sloppy, we’re one bad stretch away from another losing streak like last year. Top 4 might be the ceiling.

NorthbaySpecter
What a wild fight. One bad clearance at the end and we were done for.

SilverQuayNomad
Congrats to Haaland — fastest to 100 Premier League goals. What a machine.

HollowforgeRunner
I thought this during the Leeds match too: Stones just doesn’t have the agility anymore.

 ↳ MaritimeFoxline
He’s basically walking half the time. Hard to anchor the midfield like that.

StormriftEcho
Stones has always been great on the ball, but defensively he relied a ton on Dias, Akanji, Walker, and Aké covering him.

HarborStoneFable
Sávio barely contributes even when he gets minutes. Stones hasn’t played much, sure, but Sávio being this ineffective is a whole different problem.

CragwindVoyager
At least we could celebrate Haaland’s milestone with a win. Couple guys look like they’re finally hitting form too — hope this steadies the ship.

FrostshoreBreaker
Nunes is struggling hard. He’s basically a makeshift defender pretending to be a starter, and teams are picking him apart with simple runs.

IroncrestShifter
Honestly, just bring in Andersen and Semenyo already. They’d be upgrades over current Stones or Sávio. One more month and reinforcements should finally arrive.

SilverwakeHorizon
With Rodri and Kovačić out, we just can’t control matches. The second half turns into a meltdown every time.

CinderGaleRanger
Getting pinned by Leeds and Fulham says everything. We’re not “letting” them have the ball — we’re just losing the physical battles.

NightfallQuarry
We can give up possession if needed, but the fullbacks are a serious issue.
When the fullback steps out, the center-back covers the space behind him, then Nico González has to drop to protect the CB — and suddenly there’s no one to block midfield shots.
Can we please try Kusunov at right-back at this point…?

HarborStrikeVantage
A 5–1 lead is honestly one of the most dangerous scorelines. Teams switch off way too easily.

IroncrestVoyager
Pep’s football really starts to crumble when we can’t keep possession. They need to raise their control of the ball or it’s going to get rough.

FrostlineOracle
The thing with Guardiola’s system is that even slow recycling across the back line functioned as a form of defense — as long as City held the ball, the opponent couldn’t attack.
When you abandon possession, you’re also giving up that built-in defensive shield.
It’s only worth the trade if you gain defensive stability in a different way or score enough to offset it.
At this point, if they insist on moving in this direction, they might honestly need a couple of pure, rugged defensive specialists to balance the structure.
