[Man U] Legendary Fan Frank’s “No Haircut Challenge” Passes 450 Days — Finally Goes for Hair Straightening

The ongoing misery of Manchester United has quite literally transformed one die-hard supporter.

Frank Illett (29), known online as The United Strand, is still nowhere near a barber’s chair more than 450 days after starting his brutal challenge:
“I won’t cut my hair until United win five games in a row.”

Honestly, at this rate he won’t be cutting it for another five years.

5: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/04 22:47
Time will solve it eventually.

7: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/04 23:02
Doesn’t look like it’s happening anytime soon.

8: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/04 23:04
That’s insanely fluffy lol.
Can’t cut it, so fair enough I guess.

10: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/04 23:07
So this is what curly hair turns into…

11: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/04 23:12
Might need to bring back Fergie for that.

12: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/04 23:15
I’m bald, but I’ll try a challenge until Hanshin win back-to-back titles.

13: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/04 23:16
When was the last time they even won five straight?

If you count the FA Cup, February 2024.

14: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/04 23:19
They used to be monsters.
Smashing everyone outside the top spots 5–0 regularly.
Feels like it all went downhill after Moyes.

16: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/04 23:59
Whether he does this or not won’t change the team’s results.
Is this just for clout?

17: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/05 00:00
Should’ve done “shave your head every time they lose” instead.

22: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/05 00:38
They’ve improved a bit lately, but five straight wins? Nah.

24: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/05 00:50
Fergie’s staff were too good.
The club never learned how to rebuild properly after him.

25: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/05 01:25
Reminds me of that guy who kept doing karate punches until Togashi came back.

26: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/05 01:39
No chance this season.
Best shot was beating Sunderland, Liverpool, and Brighton,
then Forest and Tottenham after that.

28: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/05 02:32
He’s kinda cute though.

29: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/05 02:47
This is hilarious.

31: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/05 06:16
Five straight wins with no draws is hard even for strong teams.

32: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/05 07:35
Barcelona are on a nine-game streak right now.
Premier League’s a different beast though.

38: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/05 13:00
Back in the day, sure.
Now? Might take 5–10 years.

41: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/05 13:49
When I got into football, United were clearly above City.
City felt like some knock-off club.
Now United are the worse Manchester team.

Same with 1860 Munich —
used to think they were a Bayern knock-off,
now they’re stuck in the third division.

Funny thing is, 1860 were actually bigger than Bayern back then.

That’s the club Osako played for, right?

43: Anonymous Fan 2026/01/05 15:14
Honestly, it kinda works.
Looks like someone straight out of Vinland Saga.
